Nizamuddin area of Delhi has a rich legacy of Sufi traditions including the music and poetry associated with the 13th century Sufi Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya and his disciple, the legendary poet-composer Hazrat Amir Khusrau. The mobile application integrates the legacy of Amir Khusrau in three sections -life, works and music. The living culture of the area is presented through five different walks connecting to its monuments, cuisines, poetic and Sufi heritage.

The self-guided walks provide context, background information and visual gallery specific to each site. The application links Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti to the larger heritage area including Humayun’s Tomb and Abdur Rahim Khan e Khanan’s tomb. The walks help visitors to explore lesser known monuments and traditions associated with it.

The music app presents a representative sample collection of qawwali, folk and classical genres of music ascribed to Amir Khusrau. They are grouped into two categories –genre and artist – allowing the user to create playlist as per their choice
